TRAILER: Daimyo Parade 予告編：山田大名行列

Yamada Daimyo Parade was held October 20 and 21, 2007 at Motoyoshi, Miyagi prefecture, Japan once in three years. They are shouting the words to praise the rich growth of their rice.

宮城県本吉町の山田大名行列が、３年に一度、平成１９年１０月２０、２１日の両日、挙行されました。ＨＤＶカムコーダで撮影したものを、ｗｍｖファイルにして掲載します。勢良生勢（セイヨー オイセ）は、稲が勢い良く生長するさまを讃えた掛け声です。田んぼのあぜ道で繰り広げられた時代絵巻は、勇壮で感動ものでした。


The scene was filmed by a HDV-camcorder and producing a 30-minute documentary is just underway. The big issue stands in front of me after editing, superimposing and overlaying a backgound music. It is narration. I, as a pro, have finished scripting the narration of course. What so awesome is that I must narrate myself since the documentary is of a personal activity with no finaicial support. I am searching for the site to tape the narration with a portable recorder, harber, calm forest, my bed under the thick blankets or somewhere elso.

只今、３０分ドキュメンタリーの制作中です。編集や文字スーパー、BGの処理は済みましたが、最大の関門が立ちはだかっています。ナレーションです。プロの端くれですので、文章は出来上がっています。しかし、活舌の良い方に頼む資金はありません。作品は個人的なライフワークです。つまるところ自分でしゃべることになります。これが恐怖です。小型録音機を持って、何処で吹き込むか。波止場は波の音が邪魔。風のない日に、木立の深い森の中は？布団をかぶって吹き込む方法は、自宅の側が車道で駄目。いま場所探しの真っ最中です。

Fairies on the spring garden 春の妖精

Heart-shaped flowers are hanging from the stems. The elegant fairies add a charm to the garden in spring.

They are native flowers of Japan. The academic name is "Dicentra Spectabilis." Japanese name is "Keman Grass." Keman is an ornament hanging on a Buddhist altar.

Later the heart separates into two and a white pedal appears. Americans call them "Bleeding Hearts" or "Bleeding Tears." Ain't their naming lack of chic? To my eye the figure looks like a Japanese girl who parts her hair in the middle and dyes from black.

ハートの形をしたピンクの小さな花が、たくさん垂れ下がっています。春の庭を彩る愛くるしい妖精たちです。

仏壇の飾り物から「ケマン草」と名づけられましたが、一般には「タイツリ草」で知られています。可憐な花は、日本が原産だそうです。

ハートの花はやがて二つに割れ白い花弁が覗き出ます。米国人は「出血した心臓」とか「血の涙」と呼びますから、なんとも無粋です。私には分けた髪を赤毛に染めた、いまどきの日本のギャルに見えて仕方ありません。
